At our counselling practice, empathy is at the core of what we do. We strive to deeply understand and connect with our clients, creating a safe and compassionate space for healing.

We value cultural sensitivity, respecting the diversity of backgrounds, identities, and beliefs. Our approach is inclusive, affirming, and considers the impact of culture on trauma experiences. Building trust is essential, and we prioritize creating a secure and non-judgmental environment.

We believe in collaboration and empowerment, where clients actively participate in their healing journey, utilizing their strengths and making informed decisions about their well-being. Alongside our trauma-informed care integrates knowledge to promote healing and resilience, and we continuously enhance our cultural competence through ongoing education and reflection.

Meet your therapist

Navreen Kaur (MACP, RCC)

Hello & Welcome,

I am a Registered Clinical Counselor #19069 with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Child and Youth from Adler University, Canada.

I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and my goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner selves and work towards their goals.

As a trauma-informed counselor, I prioritize the mind-body connection and use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Person-Centered approach to achieve holistic healing.

Moving to Canada made me realize firsthand the complexities that come with navigating a new culture as a new immigrant. During the process, I also realized what hinders immigrants & bicultural people from accessing counselling.

Experiencing Canada’s unique cultural diversity through my academic and professional life, it has deeply influenced my perception of cultural differences and their profound impact on mental health. This exposure has allowed me to recognize that culture is personal and is an intricate aspect of identity that can not be generalized.

I empathize deeply with the struggles related to body and hormonal issues, as I’ve personally experienced and overcome them myself. I recognize the profound impact these challenges can have on one’s well-being. My approach to therapy is grounded in authentic connection, and relatable space for you to heal. Exploring the complex layers of your experiences, dismantling emotional barriers, and fostering a path towards holistic healing and self-acceptance is what I offer.

I have a diverse professional background that includes working as a family support worker for children with special needs to being employed as a Child & Family therapist with the Family Preservation program.

Through my journey, I’ve personally dealt with anxiety and depression, which has helped me develop a strong sense of empathy and understanding towards those struggling with mental health concerns. I am passionate about helping individuals work through their challenges and reach their full potential.
