Navreen prioritize’s creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and connected. She recognizes how relational challenges impact emotional well-being and collaborate with clients to explore these dynamics with empathy and clarity.

She is dedicated to culturally informed therapy, recognizing how cultural contexts and societal factors influence one’s mental health. Her work emphasizes attachment-based approaches, exploring early life experiences to understand how they shape present-day relationships, emotions, and behaviors.

For individual work, she also integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients explore their internal world and heal from within.

She specialize in working with Couples struggling with attachment & communication issues. Her work focusses on overachievers, people pleasers, individuals who self-sabotage, and those striving for perfectionism—patterns often rooted in attachment experiences.

Hi, I’m Monique (she/her).
I’m a compassionate and collaborative Canadian Certified Counsellor, with a Master of Counselling degree from Gonzaga University. I deeply believe in the power of connection, healing, and growth and I am grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel seen, supported, and empowered. Guided by values of empathy, cultural awareness, and authenticity, I work to create a safe space where you can explore your inner world and move toward lasting personal change.

My counselling approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I support individuals navigating a range of life experiences, including depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I often draw from approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), offering practical tools to help build resilience, manage distress, and live in alignment with your values.

While I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, I bring a unique understanding of the cultural dynamics, mental health stigma, and systemic barriers that can impact the South Asian community. As a Canadian-born South Asian, I offer a blend of both Western and cultural perspectives in my work. I provide culturally responsive care with sensitivity to the nuances of identity, family expectations, intergenerational experiences, and community pressures.

I’m passionate about meeting people where they are and walking alongside them with compassion, curiosity, and care. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to reconnect with themselves and the people who matter most—and I’m honoured to support you as you move toward clarity, healing, and sustained growth.
